not really, actually. they just beat the living hell out of Ottawa, 6-2 to win the Stanley Cup. Congrats.

But I'm listening to Mos Def hard, and since I hadn't posted in a while, I thought I would.

I'm feeling a closeness with people now, and it's probably because I've let my proverbial guard down, and I'm not so scared to lose people anymore, or really let them down so much. It's not because I don't care how other people think of me, it's because I've realized who's opinion matters, and who I can give a fuck about.

On that note, I'm catching up with people and fixing some issues, like with Kelli, Garret, Derrick, and the like. There are some I can't catch up with, for various reasons (they're dead, lost contact info) and there are some that I don't want to (bad memories, I'd like to punch 'em, the usual). This life's all essentially a crap shoot, and you've gotta know when to throw, and when to pack up and run.

I'm still handling other people's issues, but not so much as to burden myself and not handle my own. I've realized that sometimes the best thing that I can do is be there for people, and not play the Superman/silent assassin role so much. There is a time and a place for such; it's just not every time and everywhere.

I'm pretty deep into an internship with Liberty magazine. Well, let's revise that, I hope to be deep. I'll start as a copy bitch, but hopefully, I'll rise up, earn some cash, make men around me feel like small girls, and experience some left coast love.

Gained new circles, the Trivia folks and the Wee Pub fam, and both are looking pretty good, answers and rescuing from peril are two things that I do pretty well, it seems, and there's a lot to be done. So I guess I fit. :) The nights at the Pub with John and the crew are awesome as well, and taking care of the inebriated is seemingly my calling.

I miss my UN kids, and I wonder what they're doing sometimes. Yeah, I'm a softie, but until you teach a bunch of kids, you won't know the feeling. It's seeing them gain experience through understanding that's pretty damn awesome.

NBA Finals, Spurs-Cavs. I'm saying Cavs in 6. I think LeBron's made the leap, and he's carrying the team with him. At least that's what I think.
